A northeastern regional utility has asked SESTERTii to identify a Transmission Planning Engineer, or Sr. Engineer, capable of conducting and evaluating contingency analysis and powerflow studies (ranging from steady-state thermal and voltage to stability studies) for the long range expansion of their transmission system, and to support the annual revision of the developing 10-year transmission plan.
Responsibilities, will include, but will not be limited to:
- Determination of the transmission facility changes, and additions, required to meet ISO-NE and NPCC planning criteria.
- Recommendations of capital projects in a cost-effective and consistent manner, in consideration of regional plans, reliability standards, planning criteria and system requirements.
- Participation in regional working groups and trask forces to develop coordinated area-wide solutions for interconnected system problems...
We are seeking, minimally, a bachelors degree (EE) and three years transmission planning engineering experience.
