Regional Electric Generation Dispatcher (Relocation Required)

SESTERTii inc has been retained to identify two Regional Generation Dispatchers for opportunities in a Midwestern control room.  NERC Certification is preferred, but, if you are capable of picking up the certification within 6 months of starting in the role, that will suffice the requirement.

Day-in and out, this dispatchers will comminicate with local balancing authorities and generation operators to ensure safe and reliable operation of the electric grid. This is a 7-day per week support role in real-time operations (shift bonus!).  Salary shall be commensurate to experience, and can be discussed via phone. Relocation package specifics can also be discussed.

OPERATIONS or PLANNING ENGINEER, (PROMOD // ECONOMIC STUDIES)

SESTERTii has been retained to identify two engineers with experience utilizing the Ventyx PROMOD database for economic studies--either via an operations engineer or planning engineering role. 

The two positions are distinct, but serve as members of the same contribution team. We are seeking a minimum of one (1) year of experience or at least a professional understanding of the principals of economic dispatch, LMP/FTR market dynamics for the engineering role, and a minimum of 4 years of experience for the Sr. level opportunity; Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred.

Relocation covered, Solid Pay range. Bonus (corporate + individual performance).

Operations Engineer(s) - Multiple Openings, Multiple Opportunities (ALL MIDWEST!)

SESTERTii has been retained by a Midwestern utility to identify a handful of operations engineers to augment the current control room staff in a major control room talent expansion.  Positions will vary, shift- and non-shift, studies and support roles, to procedures or compliance related roles. Specifically, we have been charged with identifying engineers with the backgrounds identified below; if you fit the bill, please call to discuss.  Salary ranges commensurate to experience, but we'll guarantee that offers will exceed current packages. Relocation assistance available.

Shift-Operations Engineer: Seeking a minimum 2 years control room, shift ops engineering experience. Exposure to EMS Network application, operations support, on-call support, PSS/e a plus. Shift bonus available for rotation. BA/BSEE required.

Operations Engineer (Procedures-focused): BA/BSEE Required. This can be an on-call position, if the engineer is open to that, there is a bonus opportunity (on-call not required). Two years of market operations, reliability coordination, gen dispatch, balancing authority operations; knowledge of NERC Regional reliability standards is a plus.

Sr. Operations Engineer (Procedures-focused): As the ops engineer above, but we are seeking four or more years of relevant experience!
