SESTERTii inc has been retained to identify a few engineers/IT
professionals with networking-type backgrounds and experience with SCADA
systems. Specifically, our team is seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s degree
in engineering or computer science and 5 years’ experience with high
availability computer systems (IT/SCADA). Specific knowledge of scripting and
programming languages is sought, understanding TCP/IP, DNP3 and ICCP protocols
is preferred. Familiarity with regulatory processes and their impact on company
projects, objectives and goals is also sought.
The selected candidates shall be responsible
for managing the maintenance and development of high availability SCADA
(Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems to ensure the safe, reliable
and economic operations of the electric system. Each individual shall plan,
schedule, coordinate and execute the activities related to long and short-term
construction projects as well as day-to-day maintenance. More specific tasks
will include:
- · Ensuring all SCADA projects and work are performed and completed safely, on schedule, cost effectively and in accordance with company standards;
- · Direct efforts to achieve world-class excellence regarding safe work practices and safety performance and assures compliance with client safety manual, OSHA and all company procedures;
- · Facilitation of the improvement of team dynamics and communication;
- · Ensuring the continued NERC/CIP compliance of SCADA assets.
